In Chapter 1 of Homes Buyers and Mortgages, I lay out what is required of first time homebuyers to get a mortgage approval for all loan programs. In addition, I provide an overview of the Federal Housing Tax Credit. The appendix at the back of the book outlines each of the programs offered by the various State HFA's.
